Important [ROM] Artemis for HD2 ver 74.0

More

Hello,

although I was used to install STOCK ROM 3.14 first with gold card method before flashing Artemis with LEO_Advanced_RUU.exe, I decided to go the old way: just flashing new Artemis over existing version by using SSPL_RUU.exe.
Until now I haven't detect any problems.

EDIT: Artemis Center -> About: still Version 61.0 Beta? Is this correct?

@z_harris
@extrapurifier

Hi my friends,

as promised, I would send you my tweaks, bur after loosing the .txt file it became a bit difficult to reproduce all of them. I managed to restore most of my data, got finally connected again to WMDC and here are a few of the main tweaks I always use:

A: CHT Tweak:
- HKCU\Software\Manila\CookieDateLink: dword value=\Windows\Startmenu\Programs\HTC_Agenda.lnk.
What this tweak does is, when you press the date on the homescreen, you will get the Agenda view instead of the month view. In order to get this functioning right you will have to do two things:
1. Find on your device the Calendar_pages,xml file and copy this with, f.i. Total Cammander, to \Windows and to \Windows\ManilaXml. after that SR your device. To get maximum benefit from this tweak, install also Slabbi's 28 days in Agenda2, which you can find in Themes and Apps section. First time you press the date the mont view will appear, but when you change that to Agenda view, it will stay at that. IMHO this is more convenient than the month view.

B: System Tweaks:
- Home Date View: I changed that to sun 26th jun 2011 by editing the 4dd5e23b_manila file (this is for NLD version, maybe for WWE it's another file). With this file you can adjust the date format on your homescreen.
- vIf you use CHT and set it's editor to show no appointments on the homescreen, then you will see a very little empty rectangular on your homescreen. This can be "vanished" by copying with TC the file 55b3bed2_manila to \Windows

Remember that the files you copy to \Windows need to come from the original HTC 3.14 ROM, so copy them to your Storage Card before installing CHT.

C: Opera Tweaks:
- Startmenu - Personal - Opera 9.7:
a) Adaptive Zoom: default zoom=150 and Virtual Screen Width=600
b) If you want to change the Opera Cache to your Storage Card: User Prefs - Cache Directory 4: \Storage Card\CacheOpera. The last folder you have to make yourself on your SC. After that go to |windows\Opera\Profile and delete the Cache folder.
c) Get rid of the Opera Splash Screen: HKLM\software\Opera\Info\ShowSplashScreen - change dword to 0.

These are the most important tweaks I can remember and they work very well.

good luck and best regards, Kuzibri

Only the same problem with sending appointments via email
(see my post imap-folders in winmo 6.5 development and hacking)

Maybe Sir Sternas can solve it :-)

Hi my friend,

if it's for me, this will not happen. But, it depends mostly, if not entirely, on our great friend. As long as he "bets" on two horses, the most popular (=XDA) wins cause members are used to go to XDA for Artemis. The near future will tell us what will happen with this site.

Best regards, Kuzibri

I like this site more than XDA and I hope our friend is not this child up for adoption :-)
I could now pick out due to a contract extension, a new cell phone ......... But I like neither windows phone 7 nor Apple iPhone and Google Android comes not into my house.
I hope our friend will delight us for a long Time with his fantastic ROMs.

Sir Sternas

first time I really need your help to solve my telephon memory problem.
After flashing v60 or v61 with LeoAdvancedRUU or other tools there is
just between 14 and 24 MB telephon memory left. Actual state: No
applications installed accept v61 ROM.

I cannot flash with SSPL_RUU as my HD2 always loose USB connection
after "YES" key on my HD2 when SSPL starts. I am running the tool
SSPL under Win7 64bit in administration mode. So this time I only can
use the flashing procedure with the use of HSPL4.

Do you have an useful answer for this behavior?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Please try it again with a third option LeoAdvancedRUU.exe
It runs directly on the PC.
Works for me on Windows 7 64-bit outstanding.
But first uninstall HSPL and do not forget to flash an original ROM with SPL 3.03.

I did the way you described and before. Unfortunately it will not work.
The problem seems to be a driver issue. When SSPL starts you have
to say YES for the "EnterBootlaoder .." program. After YES the USB
connection failed and HD2 is in freeze state.

My dear friend, Sir Sternas assured me two days ago (see XDA) that he will continue with his ROM even if MS stops supporting WinMo 6.5.x. So for the time being we do not have to worry. Regarding Apple, Android and even WinMo7, I fully agree with you, so we do not have another choice than to keep using our HD2 with Artemis ROM. Hopefully the HD2 has a long life, hardware wise!!! I have my HD2 now for almost two years (an absolute record for a mobile device with me!!) and it never failed on me, so I think that the hardware is as good as the versatility.

best regards, Kuzibri

If you use LeoAdvancedRUU, you have to use option 3 (SPL). If you do this, it will not ask you to enter bootloader mode, it just does it. So what I would recommend is:
1. Delete the application data folder on your SD card and also the program files folder.
2. Format your SD card with Windows PC formatting tool in slow mode and thereafter with the SD formatting tool of your device
3. Flash the original HTC 3.14 ROM DL with your S/N number. This will install SPL 3.03
4. Flash Artemis V61 with LeoAdvancedRUU option three.

good luck and best regards, Kuzibri

P.S. If you only flash Artemis ROM, then also deinstall HSPL3. You do not need that in this case

I allready did all the things you described. I use Artemis ROM sinve ver.5.
So think I have a lot experience in flashing ROMs. Nevertheless I still
receive Error 260 (PC) and HD2 is in freeze state.

Remark: LeoAdvancedRUU (Option 3) still requires pressing YES key.

Any other usefull hints?

I really did not doubt your experience, but gave the tips I always give in such circumstances. The only one I have left now is do everything again but without using your SD Card at all. Otherwise I am, unfortunately, out of options.
LeoAdvancedRUU usually only asks me if I want to upgrade to a new ROM and then enters bootloader mode.

best regards and good luck, Kuzibri

I think you're right.
It seems to be an driver problem, let's test something.
Does the device sync with the PC correct?
Try a new install of WMDC, it should search the driver for your HD2 again and install it again
automatically

My SD card is not in use since trying to install via SSPL.
But remember about my main problem: 15 MB memory
when flashing with use of HSPL 4.

Yes, yes, yes any kind of istallation method were done.
Including new installation of WMDC.

Maybe that's your problem: HSPL4. You're an experienced user of flashing Artemis ROM's, but you do not need HSPL4 if you only flash Artemis ROM. In this case, either set HSPL4 to SPL 3.03 or deinstall HSPL4 and flash HTC Original 3.14 ROM with your S/N. This installs SPL 3.03 automatically. Thereafter you can flash Artemis V61 as usually.

Actual standard ROM 3.14 T-Mobile installed. NO HSPL, only standard.
I am really looking for new ideas. Maybe based on Win7 issues. All these
problems since Win7. Same procedures with XP SP3 = NO PROBLEMS
